We know that dogs are pretty smart.
But exactly how smart are they?
Well, the average dog is about as smart as a two-year-old!
Most dogs remember the basics such as: sit, walk, ball.
But research shows that your dog knows more words than you think.
The average dog can learn 165 words, including signals and gestures.
Consistency is key for learning.
So if you call it "supper" but your better half calls it "dinner," then your dog's understanding might be fuzzy.
Believe it or not, our canine pals also have a basic understanding of math!
Tests (using dog treats & screens) show that they can count to four or five and understand things like, 1+1=2.
So, which breeds of dogs are the smartest?
Border collies, poodles, and German Shepherds are, because we’ve trained and bred them to be.
